1776 - Men dying for a vision of a free nation where certain rights were guaranteed to all.
Did they die for what have we today. A government controlled by businesses and lobbyists. The differences of 1776 and today are few when it comes to government.
In 1776 people were hung for stealing horses. Today Madoff walks freely around with a smirk on his face after stealing 50 billion dollars. His kids should be ashamed as they were raised on stolen monies. A drug addicts assets can be taken immediately – why cannot Madoff’s. How would our forefathers have reacted?
If you are a person above 50 – what happened to you? Did you not chant peace and love and swear in your youth that you would not become the greedy materialistic people your parents were? Where are you? Was that just your words or your heart? Hang your head in shame. I am of that group and I was and am still of the same heart. Forget that I have worked for major corporations and been an ass kicker on Bourbon Street.. I always took more than I gave. I never passed anyone in need. I was never afraid to HELP SOMEONE ELSE.
If you are under 30-50 you probably stay real busy. Why? Because you do not want to think and feel. The greatest gifts man has we squander. My prescription for you is to find your dreams and your passions and spend 30 minutes a day examining you in silence without distraction. You can still have all your toys and time eaters. Just 30 minutes. Spend 10 on you the person – are you the best you can be? What can you do better for you and for others? Spend the next 10 on what your grandchildren face if we keep going on as we are. Spend the last 10 dealing with the things you have never told anyone and need to atone for. Silence can be a great teacher my friend. I have over 3000 days of it.
Under the above ages you are inheriting debt and a nation driven by greed. Morals are a thing of the past. A president such as Bill Clinton would have been dealt with much more severely in the days 233 years ago. But we snicker as our young mid-schooler’s give oral sex and say “I did not have sex”. What a legacy Bill. For the young of today and the still but soon coming unborn I see misery and problems left by the previous three generations that should never have been. On your shoulders will be insurmountable taxation due to debt from monies spent today and many years of wasted government spending. I wonder how much of the recent bank bail out you will even recognize that no one three months later could account for where the money went or why or how it was spent. What if that were put on a credit card and minimum payments were made? Is that essentially not what the government is doing?
I wonder why everything we make to make life easier has a poisonous side? Plastic. New Drugs thrown out that kill us. And as life gets easier we have less time, are more tired, and less healthier. Where did all these new diseases come from like eating disorders? Are they all not mentally based because the parents are too busy?
Trillions of dollars in NEW DEBT with Obama’s upcoming bills to save us now. Debt we will not have to worry about. This is what is to be the unborn and the newly borns burden. MEISM.
People are wrapped up in Meism philosophy. If I am happy and warm and not bothered by it – who cares. The thoughts are in the minute. The middle class wastes time in front of TV and following hobbies to do anything but think and feel. When I was a kid and had a beef with someone a black eye was all that ensued. Today kids are blown away. And the middle class gets up for popcorn and only screams when they lose their houses because of their bad mortgages (yes there is some personal accountability there) or their life savings are gone. I was horrified to not see Americans screaming in the streets at 4:00 a gallon gas. How lazy or apathetic or pathetic a culture can we be?
The government wastes billions of dollars with no accountability or oversight. They fight wars within that can never be won by creating agency after agency to battle them. It is time for passion mixed with logic to fix this. And it will be a long job. Not one in my life time. But the seeds need to be sown sometime so why not here, why not now, and why not you.

People are needed to write.
People are needed to design a nice looking site.
People are needed to program the sites needs.
You will never know me. It does not matter who I am. Maybe just call me a sick of it American. I will be userid Number 1. Because I am the first on the site only. I want help. NO I NEED HELP. I want a forum for the users to talk in but I want everyone to use an alias.
What I would like to do…
Gather like thinkers.
Create a board of directors that create a charter and rules.
Get donated help in incorporating.
Start a movement of people wanting the country back.
To that end I will expose a few of my many ideas…
What ifs – lets call them. And realize they have to start with a new way of thinking that then starts electing people that endorse what we want for America.
The first is I never want anyone to suffer the loss of their house due to medical bills. No one in England or Canada has had to give up their lives earnings because of medical bills. It is too late for socialized medicine. But what if there were federal hospitals for those that had nothing else? Or what if everyone in the country that was unemployed received the same benefits Medicare Disabled people do on a sliding scale based on ability to pay.
WHAT IF I COULD GET FREE MEDICAL CARE FOR ALL WITH 4 changes in existing law. I can if I had the votes and the backing and it would cost the Americans nothing. In the end these simple logical ideas could save you money and ensure you are safer from crime. In fact I believe you could visit any doctor you wanted any time you wanted anywhere you wanted. Each American would free medically necessary medical care. Do you know what your doctor charges 1. An uninsured person, 2. An insured person, or a person on Medicare for the same service? The amounts are the highest for the uninsured. No wonder people cannot afford medical care. Fair prices would be paid under a federal insurance for the same procedure to all doctors for necessary medical needs. This includes everything needed to sustain life. Face lifts, tummy tucks, and hair replacement not included of course. And I tell you if four changes were made in existing laws, then it could all be paid for without another dime from your pocket.
WHAT IF the elected positions at all levels were not paid positions? You became a president because you really did care about the people. You had a reasonable expense account. You had no paid retirement after one term – then only those were in it for the good of America would run. It would also be understood that anyone in any civil capacity could not ever go to work for someone or an organization that they dealt with while in office. Today too many outgoing civil positions end up in fat jobs from a company that just happened to benefit from something their area did while in office.
WHAT IF we changed the way laws were passed. The first change should be nothing can be added to a bill once it is written that is not directly related to the topic of the original bill. Bridges to nowhere are freely tacked onto bail out packages then voted for by the person that tacked it on. Is this not vote buying. If a bill were regulated so that non related items could not be parasite onto it, would that not stop so much waste. Is the negotiating that goes on in the halls of government really not vote bartering and positioning for things that could not pass on their own merit.
WHAT IF, those on welfare and unemployment were to perform community service in the evenings at a rate of minimum wage with their hours required based on benefits earned? After a while those of the welfare mentality would get tired of minimum wage and go find something to do that paid more. In time they would become tax payers and contributors.
I have many many more… And I am sure you have some I have not thought of. The above are brief descriptions of sound ideas with a change of philosophy required. One back to the vision of those that died in 1776.
I need your help to make sure the vision of 1776 is restored.
Technically we have made huge strides in the years of my life. But government has stayed status quo, stagnant and greedy and not at all logically run. I would rather have the money in your pocket, the streets safer, and all of us not having to pray to god a medical emergency does not take your retirement money away.
Change has to start somewhere and sometime. This change has to be done peacefully and in the bounds of the laws that govern us. I do want revolution. But I want it from within.
If this does not begin immediately my predictions for 2059 are ones of great crime filled streets, food shortages in this country due to global ecological problems WE CAUSED, and a nation that may not be here anymore. If government continues as is and the middle class Americans continue MEISM living, it will happen without you even noticing.
Then it will be too late…
For your kids and their grand kids…
And that will be your legacy….
